Rhino from San Diego Wild Animal Park. As a gift, I received a ticket to their photo caravan tour where you get to go right into the enclosure on the back of a flat bed truck. This was quite an experience. You get right up close and personal to the animals...in this case, a little too close for comfort. Its hard to concentrate on taking the picture when such a large animal with a two-foot long horn is giving you the eye.I'm considering using this photo in a photoclub's theme for this month: Earth Day. I thought the combination of the symbol of the Rhino as an endangered species and sepia toning (gives the mood of nostalgia) make a good paring for the theme. (I seem to have been going through a sepia thing lately)
