With all the good light we were seeing on Palomar, I wanted to make sure I get a portrait of JCO in the snow, all bundled up for the cold. I deliberately picked out a dark background (the shady side of a tree) and liked the way the side lighting from the sun highlights his outline on the dark background. Ever since the El Charco Ingenico shoot (see older posts) I've been really paying attention to the relationship between subject and background.

JCO in the snow
