Reflections on Palomar
We drove up to Palomar Mountain a couple of weekends ago hoping to see some snow that was left over from the storm that occurred around Christmas. A lot of the snow had melted, but we found some patches for JCO to play in. It was a beautiful afternoon and the light quality was amazing. I can't expalin what "good light" is, but I have definitely experienced it a few times and they all seem to be at some altitude. In these experiences, there is an extra clarity and definition to things bathed in this light. Another place I experienced this was in Lake Titicaca, Peru at 12,500 ft above sea level. I've also heard that New Mexico is frequently bathed in this good light as well...and it's on my list of places to explore with my camera.

I really like this landscape image. I agree that the lighting is very good. I'm not sure I like the left side of the image. The shadows seem to bleed of the page. You might try to frame/crop a little of the left side off.
